Branson High School Hires New Head Baseball Coach

Branson High School Hires New Head Baseball Coach
Kirk Harryman

Branson High School has a new head baseball coach. Kirk Harryman, longtime head coach at Joplin High School, has been hired for the 2021-2022 school year. He replaces Troy Nimmo who resigned the position earlier this spring.

Harryman spent 17 seasons as Joplin’s baseball coach and earned a state championship in 2001. His teams amassed a record of six conference championships; six district titles; and reached the state quarterfinals four times with three appearances in state semifinals. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Missouri Southern State University and a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Williams Woods University, along with a Specialist degree in Administration.  Harryman will teach Physical Education at BHS.

“We are excited to add Coach Harryman to our staff,” said David Large, BHS activities director. “His coaching achievements speak to his longtime dedication to high school athletes and their success”

Harryman and his wife, Debra, have two college age sons, Tyler and Josh.
