Personal Finance students participate in StEP Program
Branson High School Personal Finance students participate in the Student Empowerment Program (StEP) through a partnership with UMKC Center for Economic Education. StEP is a K-12 program where students earn school currency for positive behaviors such as showing academic achievement, attendance, behaving well and more. The UMKC Center for Economic Education has provided an on-site school store where students have the opportunity to purchase items of their choice. If students choose to save their money, they may earn interest or donate to a charity of the class’s choice. StEP students are able to earn bonus dollars for outstanding performance. Personal Finance students are learning valuable money management skills to apply in the future.
