PRESCHOOL FAQs

What age do you have to be to attend preschool?

3 and 4 year olds. The student needs to turn 3 or 4 before 8/1.

Do you have any program available for my 5 year old that we choose not to send to Kindergarten?

Do I have to live in Branson?

Yes, your address needs to reflect a residence in the Branson School district. The only exception is for the Tuition preschool program. However, priority placement is given to Branson residents.

How do I sign up for a screening?

Log into our branson.k12.mo.us website and choose Cedar Ridge Primary and there is a link for you to sign up for a day/time. The screenings are held at Cedar Ridge Primary on the lower level which is around back of the building @ Zone #3.

What is the process to get my child enrolled in preschool?

Sign up for a screening when dates are available through the school system. The screening lasts approximately 1 hour. Please make sure the person bringing the student is the parent/legal guardian. There is a parent questionnaire that needs to be completed. The screening results will be discussed with the parent immediately after the screening is completed. SCREENING DOES NOT guarantee a spot in preschool. The parent will receive a phone call around the end of May-first of June letting them know their child has been selected for 1 of our 5 programs. (ECSE students will not be contacted until August). If the parent accepts the preschool position, the parent will come to Cedar Ridge Primary to complete paperwork and online enrollment, sign forms, and the first week’s tuition (if applicable) to hold the prek placement. The students that do not initially qualify will remain on a waiting list if any spots should open up during the year.

What do I need to bring when enrolling my student into the program?

Immunization records

Proof of Residency
