2011-12 Substitute Applications are CLOSED

Thank you for your interest in Branson Schools.  However, with the exception of accepting Missouri certified teachers,

2011-12 substitute applications are closed.


 


An application must be completed for both the Missouri Department of Education and Branson Schools.

We appreciate your interest in Branson Schools!

 

RETURNING SUBSTITUTES 

If you were employed as a substitute during the 2010-2011 school year and you wish to return in 2011-12, complete the New Substitute Application only. If you have any payroll changes, please contact ext. 9017. Return the application form to Branson Public Schools, Attn: Stephanie Seaman, 400 Cedar Ridge Drive, Branson, MO 65616.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHER REQUIREMENTS

Successful completion of 60 college credit hours is required to substitute teach. College credit hours are not required to substitute as paraprofessional or clerical staff.

After completing the application process with DESE, you will need to apply with each school district in which you would like to work.

Please print and complete the following substitute application forms for Branson Schools. Then, submit the forms, in person, to the Central Office located at 400 Cedar Ridge Drive. Regular business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., M-F. Our summer hours are M – TH, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.


Individuals with current teaching certificates who wish to substitute teach in a school district are no longer required by the department to apply for a substitute certificate. This includes those individuals with an initial professional certificate, the career continuous professional certificate, a lifetime certificate, as well as temporary, provisional, student services, and administrative certificates.


If at any time the educator allows the professional certificate to expire, then a substitute certificate would be required.


As always, if an educator is a new hire to a school district then a current background check clearance (less than one year old) is required.

Start Times for 2011-2012

 

PreK & Early Childhood     Start – 7:45 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.

Grades K – 4                        Start – 8:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.

Intermediate                         Start – 8:21 a.m. – 3:22 p.m.            

Junior High                           Start – 8:00 a.m. – 3:01 p.m.

High School                          Start – 7:30 a.m. – 2:31 p.m.
