Winter’s Tail is now a movie!

Last December I wrote to you about a great book in our library called Winter’s Tail: How One Little Dolphin Learned to Swim Again.

This amazing, true story of a dolphin who lost its tail has now been made into a movie that opens in theaters this Friday! The movie is called Dolphin Tale, and it looks like it will be great! To see a preview of the movie, click the poster below.

Even if you don’t get to see the movie, be sure to check out the book from our library. You’ll find it in our nonfiction section at 639.97 Hat.

Voyage of the Dawn Treader

Many of you are familiar with C. S. Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia series and have enjoyed watching the movie versions of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, and Prince Caspian. But did you know that before they were movies, they were books! The movie version of the third book, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is opening in theaters on December 10. Before you go see the movie, you might want to read the book. I have the whole series in the library, so come check them out!

While you are waiting for the movie and book, check out the Narnia movie website. It has lots of interesting activities to explore, and it has a preview of the new movie.
