This week in library I read you one of my favorite Veterans Day stories, America’s White Table. As the daughter of an Air Force Captain, I have a lot of respect for our military, and I am very thankful for those brave men and women who risk their lives to keep us safe and ensure that we have a free country.
I would love to hear about your family members who have served or are serving in our country’s military. I would also like to hear your thoughts about how you feel about Veterans Day. It is my dad that was in the Air Force. I also had a grandpa in the Army. My favorite part of America’s White Table is writing the word hero in the salt. I think it’s such a good reminder to us that all the people who serve in our country’s military are heroes.

Know I how you feel about your dad being in the military because my dad was in the military he help with the computers. He was a compter teac peson. He will tell you something if you ask him anythang at all.I thik that i will try it some time. Mrs Matzat I realy never paid atention to the white table or Veterens Day but now I’m totaly celabrating all those soldoirs who died for me that takes some courage. Today especaly I’mso sad that that guyshot those people who would never do that to him. I mean he coudld have just asked to quit. It makes me so sad.

Dear Mrs.Matzat,
I loved the book. I think the book has alot of feeling. You asked what I would put on the table and I would put a note to my grandpa because he served for are country. I would also put rose pettles around the tabble and a plate with salt and a lemmon. In the salt I would write Thank You to all the solders who served for are country just like my grandpa. I am proud that he did that for are country. So that is what I would put on the white table to thank the solders.

I loved the book. What I would put on the small white table is a note saying how much I appreciat the people who risked there lives to save our countrey.I would also write a note thanking my grampa for serving in the navy.The book almost made me cry and I hope that every one honors the people who risked there lives to help our contrey.
The story made me feel very special all because the soldiers fight for you and were you live and what you do. How could you not apreciate that. Because some places you can’t do this and you can’t do that but here in america we have wonderful sweet freedom. My grandpa was in the navy ,I think. So my dad lived here and there and everywhere. My other grandpa was in the army now he walks with a slouch in his back.I barely do anything for vetrans day but I know I can change that. “The soldiers make me feel so important the feeling never goes away … okay sometimes the feeling goes away but still I love that they care so much about a stranger they don’t even know but they are still willing to fight for us.”
If I were to add something to the table it would be a song I love to write songs about things for a porpose.It’s my hobby!

My grandpa was in army but not a mirne he was in a different army. We candle food and water.
My grampa served in the airforce as well! I would acktully put on the table a neclase made with the beads A-I-R-F-O-R-C-E and H-E-R-O. I love my Grampa and he now teaches in the east buildlding so if you ever see Mr.Mike please tell him thank you!

Dearmrs.mazta, I think that this is a sad book and it sound intersting to me to.because this book makes me think of one of my mooms merous because she had a harattaka when she was bying stuff.then my mom toke her to the hospadle but when we toe her to the hospadle but when we got their they told use that she deiad.so when i got to my house i stared to cry.

I loved the book
it reminds me of my peepaw. My peepaw is a veteran I he even went to japan he got a clock and gave it to my famliy we kept it in my moms chiana cabnit. But a litte bit later my peepaw got huit by a train. Luckly he did not die. The thing I would put on th e table is a drum to symblies the heart beat of a soilder

My gradmal and my grandpal and my two uncles used to be in the war. The are back now and I am glad they are back because I love them so much. My dad was going to be one but then he dicied not to go to war because my mom and I would have missed him so much.I loved the book you read to use. That book was great.I had a grandpa that was in the army and I still look up to him today.He was the best grandpa in the hole wide world
That book really spoke to me. My grandfather was in World War 2. He died a year after. I was really sad. He helped his friend recover from a really bad sickness. Luckuly his friend made it the rest of the year. But then he died out of a car accident. My grandpa was always at the hostpitle with him.
I have a cousin in the army and my grandpa was in the army. I think that vetrains day is a good way to say thank you, and if I could add anything to the table, it would be a picture or a real american flag.

I think we should honor Veterans Day because all the men and woman who lost there lives for us shine down on us and hope that we honor Veterans Day! I love the book it almost made me cry. My grandpa used to be in the army. He told me the story of what he used and how boring it is.But he siad it will help our country. He is still living he is 64 years old.I think my grampa can realate to that story. They might still cellibrate Veterens day.
