This past week in library we talked about the Mark Twain Award nominees and the Show Me Award nominees. There are so many great books on those lists and I can’t wait for you to read them! Sense October I have read 3 Mark Twain Award Nominees the first one I read was Hugo Cabret and it was kind of a sad book to me. The second book I read was Way Down Deep and that was just a really good book. The third book I read was The Garden of Eve and that book was kind of ghostly.

I have read 4 Mark Twain award books! I have read the Big One- Oh ( IT WAS AWESOME) The garden of eve, (It was odd, but very interesting) Deep And Dark And Dangerous, ( IT IS REALLY GOOD), and The invention of Hugo Cabret ( IT WAS AMAZING!) too bad I will move before having to vote because I have read A LOT of great books. Dear Mrs.Matzat I’ve really been wanting to read almost all the Mark Twain books because they look really good to me. I finished Deep and Dark and Dangerous it was really good. I’m in the middle of The Garden of Eve so far it’s really good too. I’m expecting it to end very unexpected.

i have read 3 mark twain award books. i love to devour 1 book after another. i feel LIKE I ACCOMPLISHED SOMETHING WHEN I FINISH A BOOK. MY FAMILY IS HAPPY FOR ME WHEN I ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING. SO WHEN I FINISHED 3 MARK TWAIN AWARD BOOKS THEY WENT OUT AND BOUGHT ME ICE-CREAM. I WAS SO HAPPY.THE THREE BOOKS IREAD WAS THE INVENTION OF HUGO CABRET,GARDEN OF EVE,AND THE BIG ONE-OH. SO THE INVENTION OF HUGO CABRET WAS A GOOD BOOK. I ESPAISILLY LOVED THE PART ISABELLE TOOK THE KEY OUT OF THE AUTOMAN. AND WHENTHEY WENT TO ISSABELLES APARTMENT. AND TOOK THE TOP THING OFF THE AUMOIRE. AND THEN THE AUNT FOUND OUT THAT ISSABELLE TOOK HER KEY OUT OF HER JEWERLY BOX. AND THEN WHEN ISEBELLES UNCLE WAS MOVING STUFF AROUND AND THEY THOUGHT HE WAS GOING SHICO MANIAC. BUT I WAS SO HAPPY WHEN HE ADOPTED (I GUESS YOU COULD SAY)HUGO. BUT ANYWAYS GOOD STORY. GARDEN OF EVE WHEN ADAM SAID HE WAS ALEX THE GHOST. AND WHEN HI AND EVE AN DHIM WENT TO THE CORDEZ’S HOUSE AND SHE LIFTED UP THAT WAS COVERING THE PAINTING OF ALEX AND ADAM. AND THEN IT SHOCKED ME WHEN ADAM SHOUTED AT HER “PUT THAT DOWN. MY MOM AND DAD CAN’T LOOKING BACK AT THE PAST.” BUT I LOVED THE PART WHERE EVIE WENT AND THOUGHT SHE PLANT THE SEED. AND THEN SHE WAS LOOKING FOR ALEX IN THE GRAVE YARD. AND SAW ADAM BALNCING ON THE STONE AND HE FELL. AN DTHEN WHEN EVIE TRIED TO GET OUT OF THE LIKE OTHER DEMENTION AND GET HER MOM AT THE SAME TIME. AND THEN THE THING I REALLY ENJOYED IN THE STORY WAS WHEN THEY WERE GETTING THERE AND SHE SAW THE FUNERAL AND SHE SAW A VERY PALE BOY STEP OUT OF THE CROWD AND LOOK AT EVIE. AND THEN THEY WENT TO THE LAND LORD (I GUESS YOU COULD SAY). AND THEY SAW HER AND SHE GAVE HER A PRAYER CARD FOR THE BOY THAT DIED (ALEX) AND SHE PUT IT IN HER POCKET. THEN SHE MET ADAM AND HE SAID WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY PRAYER CARD. AND THEN THE BIG ONE OH I DIDN’T LIKE VERY MUCH. SO THATS ALL I CAN SAY EXEPT FOR THAT I AM SOEXITED FOR I AM EXITED TO START GABRIELLS HORSES.

When I read the Marktwain Award book [The Sea of Monsters] it was so awsome. Iwas so in to it that I read it in just two Weeks.Two weeks! It was so cool when Grover was captured. And it was kind of wierd how a cyclops named Polyphemus thought that Grover was a lady cyclops because Grover is part goat and Polyphemus has goats for lunch. see you later.

The Big One-Oh is a very great book. I recomand this book for you to listen to on a CD . The auther wrote this book to intertant the reader or listener. I suggest this book on CD because the narrator does the voice of the charcters. I hope you will read this book that I recomend to you and if you don’t that is okay I will understand. My class just finished reading The big one-oh. It was a very good book. My favorite character is Lurena. We listened to it on tape the narrirator did a very good job on all the voices, but every time he did Lurena, I always lol!
I am currently reading Way Down Deep. I have not yet gotten to the suspense but i can tell it is coming soon though. they had a bank robber but he was a fake with a family to feed. He apoligized and lives in way down.

I am reading stink and the jient jaw braker. so far stink went to the candy store. His sister comes and try’s to convins stink to buy her some candy. And then he saw it right smak dab in front of him was……. the biest jientest jaw braker they were planit’s.
I have started way down deep I am on the 5th page the reson I wanted to read this book is because my friend said that it was about this a robbery and the robber had a gun but it was fake that is all she said but that sounds realy good so i started to read to read it.
I have already read the big one oh it was a good book i think one of the best parts is when the the big scary monster comes in and the girls scream and Leo faints I recomened theas books

I have read 2 Mark Twain awarded books. I have read Garden of Eve and Deep and Dark and Dangerous. Garden of Eve is a kind of ghost story (it kind of is not) odd, but heartwarming. Deep and Dark and Dangerous is a true ghost story! Oh poor little Teresa! It must have been hard on Ally for Sissy to show up and ruin everything! I like Fantasy, Realistic Fiction, Fiction and you know, the usual. I tend to absoulutly love journals, and Newberry Honor books! I am very sure that Mark Twain awards know what books are good because children vote on them and book loving adults (such as you) pick them out. I hope to read many different books this year! If you could, you can recomend some books to me. It would be helpful because I am running out of good books to read! You know your books! Here are my favorite authors: Roald Dahl, Sharon Creech, and J.K. Rowling. Who are your favorite authors? I love Margaret Peterson Haddix and Peg Kheret too. I hope you enjoy reading this year!
